Copper alloy thimble. Conical pressed metal thimble with a broad plain basal zone. The upper half of the wall is occupied by machine stamped circular pits which appear as if rising up the wall in diagonal rows from right to left. The top bears similar pits in a probably concentric arrangement, and is iron stained; there appears to have been a separate thicker lay on the top, now chipped. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.
