Copper alloy probable tuning peg. Cast round section shank of diameter 3.9mm, broken at one end and with a collared oval handle with concave sides - presumably to afford grip - at the other. A tiny [diameter 2.4mm] knop is set on the opposite edge of the handle. The shank is lightly bent. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1750-1900.
