Medieval (13th to 15th century) mount: The mount is a shield-shape and on the outer face has a low-relief frame. The mount is possibly decorated by if so, corrosion has distorted the design so it is not visible. There are slight domes, one towards the upper edge and the other towards the lower edge which may be a rivet head, although the rivet is not visible on the reverse. The reverse is undecorated.
The mount has a grey patina and measures 28.02mm long, 19.21mm wide, 2.61mm thick and weighs 4.79g.
The mount is possibly Medieval, 13th to 15th centuries.
