An incomplete copper alloy strap fitting or belt mount of Post Medieval date (AD 1500 to AD 1700).

The front of the mount is convex, and the reverse concave. The general shape is a pointed oval. A rounded extension at the top represents the growing tip of the acorn. There is an old break at the base which would presumably have been a small stalk spike.

The mount measures 28.67 mm in length, 14.82 mm wide and 4.19 mm thick, includiung the lugs. It weighs 2.17 grams.
