An incomplete copper alloy strap end dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1300-1500). The object is a possible composite strap end, though the end where the spacer would be is now missing. The strap end is circular in plan with an oval, pointed, collared knop at the terminal. The main body of the strap end is flat and the face has some possible decoration though it is too corroded to accurately decipher. The reverse is undecorated and a hole has developed in the lower half through corrosion or wear, which is beginning to appear on the front face of the object.

The strap end is similar to no. 80.283/11 (figure 92, MoL cited in Egan and Pritchard 2002: 141).

The overall dimensions are as follows: 28.22mm in length, 14.1mm in width, 4.32mm in thickness and 2.96g in weight.
