Copper alloy buckle plate fragment. Cast plate with the stubs of a slotted constriction where it wrapped around the frame [lost]. The plate bears a heart-shaped vegetal motif against a horizontally textured ground. Two rivets holes of diameter 2.5mm appear at the inner edge of the plate, and appear to have been driven from the back of the plate, perhaps through its counterpart and the strap as well. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1300.
