An incomplete Post Medieval cast, two-piece, copper-alloy hooked clasp from a sword-belt c.17th century
Description: A sub-circular hollow-domed plate, at one end would have been a ridged collared trefoli attachment knop (although this has been broken off in antiquity), the other end narrows to a point and would have ended in a hook, however this too has been lost. The back has an integral rivet near the missing hook, this would have been secured to a seperate sheet plate. The clasp is a dark green to brown colour and has no visible decoration.
