Copper alloy mount. Cast bar mount with a knop at either end and a centrally expanded boss. The arms between centre and knops are bevelled and finely horizontally ribbed. The knops each have a drilled hole of diameter 1.5mm and the central boss a hole of diameter c.3mm, though there is no evidence for the use of any of these potential fixing points. Suggested date: Medieval, 1150-1450.
