Grey translucent flint of good quality with cortex strip, appearing honey coloured under transmitted light; backed blade. A small narrow flake with long parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a small bulb at one end of a slightly concave ventral surface. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect may follow one long edge, though these small scars might have arisen from adventitious impacts. The retention of cortex on the opposite long edge, however, may show this to be deliberate. There is no patina, in contrast to most of the accompanying material. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC.

Length: 26.7mm, Width: 12.4mm, Thickness: 5.8mm, Weight: 1.52gms
