Grey flint with cortex, core. A chunk with long parallel flakes removed by probably unidirectional hard hammer working. White misty patina has developed over struck surfaces, suggesting the object endured exposure to a calcareous environment after its deposition. This is lost to subsequent adventitious impacts. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC.
