A probable flint burin dating from the Upper-Palaeolithic to early Neolithic date, although earlier date seems likely.

Description: The burin is formed from a small flake of pointed flake, with one long edge. The triangular point has a long edges with some flaking on, which actually has short scaled semi-abrupt retouch at the proximal end (end where the flake was removed) and short edge with scaled short abrupt retouching flattening this edge. A spall or burin removal from this retouched platform created by this crushing/flattening retouch. This burin retouch creates a small gauging point. The flint is heavily patinated creme/brown colour.

Measurements: 41.54mm long, 27.41mm wide, 8.26mm thick and 9.57g in weight.
