A large possible lower-middle Palaeolithic flint scraper.

Description: The object is formed from an irregular flint flake triangular in cross-section. The dorsal face is quite high which helps form this cross section. The bulb of percussion on the reverse is fairly shallow although the discoidal rippling is very pronounced. There is a removal flake across where the bulb of percussion which suggest a level of shaping. The wide outside edge of the tool appears to be the working edge with short scaled abrupt retouch along a small section abutting the striking platform end. The rest of the edge is formed by short scaled semi-abrupt retouch. Some cortex remains at the striking platform end, although there is short scaled abrupt crushing to remove sharp edges. The flint is mottled light grey with a dark-light brown edge
