An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Langton Down type dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, c. 25-60 AD. Some of the pin mechanism and lower bow/catchplate are missing in old damage.. It demonstrates a semi-circular sectioned winged head and 'D' sectioned tapering bow decorated with multiple moulded longitudinal ridges with a central wider ridge The bow truncates at its approximate midpoint. The topplate has a vertical line decoration and another vertical band follows the join line of the bow. The pin mechanism housing is partially missing on the reverse, showing the corroded spring, and the ends of the T section are both damaged. Preserved in poor condition with a green patina, it survives to a length of 20.82mm, 21.87mm wide at its head, and 2.54mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 6.25g.
