A cast copper-alloy Medieval to Post Medieval candle holder. It has a hollow structural section and a cylindrical shape, tapering towards the deep end. Below the outer face of the bottom there is an integral projecting stub. The sides of the main body are decorated with a series of circumferencial grooves and raised lines marking the top, the center and the bottom. The sides and the upper edge have some old dentings.
The attachment to a branched candlestick was assured by inserting the stub in a hole in the end of the branching arm. See parallel in PAS database SF-E8F481.
