Rectangular buckle plate that is constructed from a copper alloy sheet that has been folded in half in order to be wrapped around the strap bar of a buckle. In the centre of the folded end is a slot for the buckle pin; the sides of the fold are notched to accommodate the arms of the buckle. The face plate is formed into three lobes that are separated by a thin strip which contains a series of wavy lines. A beaded border runs around the edge of the plate. In the centre of each lobe is a domed rivet that connects to the back plate. The back plate is semi-circular and smaller than the face plate and undecorated.
