An incomplete cast copper-alloy gilded unidentified object of unknown date. It appears to have been a ring, part now missing, composed mainly of a simple plain oval loop with a hoop that is thicker sectioned top than underside and which has obvious signs of wear to one side. Part of the original item is missing but the assumption might be that the narrowed, off set lower part of the ring , of which only a stub remains, would have extended and joined the other side of the ring in the same way as the extant part.
It is 21.36mm in length, 20.68mm in width, the hoop varies but is c 5.36mm x 4.30mm. The narrowed, lower section is c 1.91mm in diameter. It weighs 5.77g. There are signs of gilding in places.
