A post medieval silver coin: a penny of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603), second issue (AD 1561-1582), minted in London. The coin has a coronet initial mark and dates from AD 1567-1570. It is 14.4mm diameter, 0.4mm thick and 0.42g. For reference, see North (1991) Volume 2, number 2001 on page 135.
