Medieval copper alloy sheet repair of vessel, probably a cooking vessel. The repair patch is oval in shape with a rectangular piece in the centre which protrudes onto the reverse side to form the actual repair. This would have been folded over onto the main vessel to repair the break. The oval patch is 27mm long and 19mm wide. The rectangular central piece is 20mm by 9mm. The reverse of the plate has a ridge in the centre parallel to the rectangular plate and is the remains of the section that was folded over to form the repair.
