Post medieval copper alloy strap fitting dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1700. Circular in shape with four pointed projections (an elaborate quatrefoil). The back exhibits two integrally cast pointed lugs. Traces of white metal coating survive front and back.
Similar mounts are illustrated in Read, B, 2001, p. 34, nos. 278-279.
