A copper-alloy strap end dating to the period c. AD 1350 - 1450. The strap end comprises an upper and lower plate concealing a forked spacer. Remnants of white textile are visible sandwiched between the plates. Both plates are trapezoidal in plan with straight side edges, a scalloped upper edge and a pointed terminal. There is a single circular perforation below the scalloped upper edge containing a small, circular-section rivet. Both the upper and lower plate are undecorated. Similar examples have been illustrated in Egan and Pritchard (2002) p.142, plate 93. nos. 659 -663. The strap end measures 27mm in length, 15mm in width and 3mm in thickness.
