A cast lead and iron Roman steelyard weight, c.AD 43-410.
Description: The weight is biconical with two iron stubs embedded at the pinnacle of the top half, which are the remains of iron suspension loop. The upper half is longer than the bottom giving the object a kite shape in cross-section. The wieght is patinated a dull brown-white typical of patinated lead
