A complete silver post medieval button cap dating to the 18th century. The button is discoid in shape and slightly domed. The face of the button is decorated with an incised central double triangular pattern, with incised lines running across the corners on the inside, and triangles projecting from the sides on the outside. On the inside of the concave dome on the reverse the button is copper alloy, with a square attachment loop projecting from the centre. The button is a grey silver colour on the face, and has a green patina on the reverse. It measures 17.7mm in diameter, 5.5mm in thickness, and weighs 2.44g.
