Copper alloy thimble. Conical pressed metal thimble. A thickened foot ring has a narrow plain zone above it. The rest of the wall bears closely-spaced machine-stamped circular pits which appear as if rising in diagonal rows from left to right. The top bears a rectilinear grid or lattice of larger pits. Lightly squashed with part of base lost. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900.
