A heavily worn and clipped silver shilling of Charles I (r.1625-1649), Group F/E mule minted at the Tower of London c. AD 1639-1640. Coin is heavily worn and bust is unclear although appears to have double-arched crown with the Triangle mintmark which would indicate a Sixth 'Briot' style bust. The Reverse mintmark mintmark is tun. North Vol 2, p.160, nos.2231/ 2227 or 2228.

Measurements: 31mm in diameter, 0.67mm thick and 5.44g in weight.
