A copper-alloy Roman brooch fragment of the Aucissa Type, dating to AD 43-100. The headplate is flat and sub-rectangular in plan; it has the terminal ends folded backwards but heavily broken. At the terminal edge there is a rectangular slot for the missing hinged pin. On the flat surface of the headplate there are two circular holes, each one encircled by a concentric narrow groove; they are close to the short sides and above a transversal reeded line, which meets a slightly curved bow now broken. The front face of the bow is decorated with a longitudinal median groove, which is flanked by a pair of parallel raised and beaded lines on each side. Traces of white meatal coiting still survive on the front face. The back of the fragment is flat and plain.
