This artefact weighs 19.59g (0.69oz). The external oval dimensions are 31.7mm x 25.9mm. Both sides are uneven but slightly convex giving the artefact a maximum thickness of 5.0mm. An irregular shaped sub-oval aperture is present at the approximate centre of the object. This measures 8.3mm x 5.4mm. The lead around the edge of this aperture is recessed creating a narrow ledge of c.1.6mm width. If this object was not used to weigh other items and instead was held in place, to something else, with use of a separate rivet or nail, this recessed ledge would have allowed a rivet or nail head to sit flush with the artefact surface surrounding it.2018-02-19 17:10:062018-08-30 14:31:04422016-11-032017-03-301Probably116464PAS5A8B04EE0018B3254CAMLead Alloy11095CompleteUNKNOWNUNUNKNOWNUNMetal detectorCircaCirca90357515934158951564741425TL6547TL6547TL64NE52.096738380.407360488101015940CAMB04EE8.jpg1793890A lead weight of unknown dateCambridgeshire County Council4images/hfowler/EasternEuropean RegionCountySuffolkDistrictSt. EdmundsburyCivil Parish52.10310.409083WithersfieldReturned to finder95324
