A collection of 12 glass beads of possible Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The beads are varied in shape and colour. They range from dark blue through royal blue, to light blue (both translucent and opaque) and turquoise, green, yellow as well as mottled cream and blue. They are mainly annular or globular beads, some more rounded and some more cylindrical. They all have circular central holes of varying diameter from 1-3mm.

Birgitta Hoffmann (Pers. Comm.) draws attention to the bead at the top left appearing to be cased colourless over blue glass and the one at the bottom right apparently showing evidence of cabling over a small bead in peacock green. She also notes a number of small drawn beads (bottom left) and flattened beads. She suggests that these features make a Roman date more likely than an Early Medieval one.
