A copper alloy button (tombac), probably of early Post-Medieval date, about AD 1620 - 1680. It is solid and sub-hemispherical in form, convex on the underside and domed above. The underside carries the remains of a separate wire attachment loop, now broken away and missing. There is no decoration but the button has a smooth, dark grey patina. It is 10.2mm diameter, 7.9mm thick and weighs 3.27g.
