A Post-Medieval silver probable halfgroat of Elizabeth I - Charles I (AD 1558-1649). London mint. The coin has been pierced.


Pierced coins are regularly found in Post-Medieval coin hoards; they do not appear to have been removed from circulation and thus to not meet the requirements for treasure under the terms of the treasure act 1996.
