A complete pair of post-Medieval silver cufflinks dating to the period AD 1725 to c. 1800.
The pair comprises two element which are octagonal in plan and slightly convex in section. The upper surface of each element is decorated with an engraved floral motif of four large and small petals enclosed within an scalloped octagonal border. The circumference of each element is down-turned. On the underside of each element there is a soldered silver circular-section wire attachment loop. Joining the elements together is a circular-section wire loop which is an elongated oval in plan.
Each element measures 14mm in width and a maximum of 7mm in thickness.
