A copper alloy vessel fragment, likely dating between c.1550AD-1700AD.

Description: The fragment is part of the rim of a cauldron or similar vessel with the rim formed by a thickened section at the top of a thin wall. There are two holes in the outer surface which have been filled with a different a quality copper-alloy. These holes maybe damage or possibly rivet holes for now lost handles. The entire fragment is heavily patinated.

Measurements: 52.56mm wide, 24.06mm high, 4.8mm thick (at the rim, 2.12mm without rim and 20.58g in weight
