An incomplete copper-alloy strap end dating to the fourteenth century AD. The fragment comprises the front plate of a two piece strap end. The plate is heart-shaped in plan with bent sides. It measures 21mm in length, a maximum of 20mm in width and 5mm in thickness. cf. Egan and Pritchard (1993) p. 134, nos. 616 passim for parallels.
