Post Medieval (17th century) button: The copper alloy button is a composite two-piece example whose head is biconvex and circular. Protruding from the back of the head there is an integral, incomplete loop. The surface of the button has an abraded matte light green patina.
The diameter across the head is 11.91mm and the length is 10.98mm. It weighs 2.21g.
A similar button has been published and dated to the 17th century (Read 2005: No. 369-372).
