Iron Age to Roman (150 BC to 4th century) ring: A copper alloy sub-oval copper alloy ring with a bi-convex section with rounded corners. The surface of the ring has an incomplete dark brown patina.
It measures 29.15mm long, 28.67mm wide and 4.31mm thick. It weighs 6.88g.
A very similar ring is illustrated in Jackson (1990) No. 149 in particular, but also Nos. 152-155 which are described as harness fittings. There are possibly other uses of such a type of suspension loop.
