An incomplete cast lead-alloy steelyard weight of Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410). The weight is bi-conical in plan and circular in section. The suspension loop and hook are missing. The stub of an imbedded iron suspension loop or hook can be seen at the top and bottom. This weight is corroded and pitted with an uneven surface and is greyish buff in colour.
