An incomplete copper alloy probable strap fitting or strap end dating to the Medieval to Post Medieval period (c. AD 1300-1700). The object is formed from a sheet of copper alloy bent round upon itself and secured with four rivets: two at the joining ends and two at the folded end. The two rivets at the folded end are no longer present, whilst the two at the opposite end remain in situ. The two ends of the sheet do not quite meet with one end falling short of the other. There are file marks apparent across the surface of the object. The strap fitting is undecorated.
