A fragment of an early medieval, Anglo-Scandinavian, 11th century, copper alloy cheek piece from a horse harness, AD.1000-1150. The piece consists of a copper alloy ring with three small knops at cardinal points around the edge. The piece has a brown, green colour. A similar example can be found in Read 2001, No.474-476 and Also in Williams 2007 fig.6.
