Miniature harness fitting of probable Late Iron Age to Roman date (c. 150 BC - AD 50). A terret ring of Spratling's group V in form, however, on a miniature scale and far too small to be functional. D-shaped in form with an oval-sectioned bar at the bottom with a lipped knop at either end. Five further lipped knops are spaced at regular intervals around the circumference of the ring. It exhibits a dark brown patina.
Possibly votive.
Similar in form to LIN-BA6CB2 (full size). Two similar examples, one from Sussex (SUSS-4E0AA5) and one from Herefordshire (HESH-9B8F37) have been recorded on the PAS database.
