An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch. Probably a Colchester derivative. The pin is missing. The wings are flat and open and probably housed an integral coiled pin mechanism. There are traces of iron corrosion product at the rear of the wings. The bow projects downwards from the wings and tapers to a corroded and bent foot. At the foot is a small remnant of a catchplate.
