A decorated copper alloy button of post-Medieval date, AD 1650 - 1750. The head is hemispherical, flat on the underside and domed on the upper side. There is a central raised dot, surrounded by a design consisting of a narrow groove above six eqidistantly spaced pentagons, separated by groups of three short, horizontal grooves. The remains of an integral attachment loop are visible on the underside. The button has a smooth, dark brown patina. It is 13.3mm in diameter and 6.6mm thick. It weighs 3.18gm.
