An incomplete copper alloy Roman finger ring dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. It measures 26.04mm in diameter, 21.37mm internal diameter), is 20.71mm high, 15.70mm maximum width, tapering to a width of 2.88mm, 3.52mm thick, tapering to a thickness of 1.23mm at the bottom of the loop and weighs 6.99g.
The finger ring has a D-shaped loop and exhibits an oval bezel with a ridge forming a raised oval reserve for a glass or paste setting which is missing. The ring tapers in width from from the bezel into the shoulders. The band features a continuous groove running from the bezel to approximately halfway down the loop on either side. Between the grooves the shoulder is raised.
