A complete, medieval, copper alloy buckle with an integral plate AD.1200 - 1350.
The frame is trapezoidal with the plate positioned in the centre of the shortest edge of the frame. The plate is divided into three sections. The first section is a small (2mm x 3mm) rectilinear shape with an integrally cast rivet. The medial section is approximately 10mm long with a convex rounded triangular shape (approximately 5mm thick), it is separated from the distal section by a small collar. The distal section is pierced for a rivet (still attached), is a rounded romboidal shape, and is approximately 6mm long.
