A fragment of a post medieval lead alloy seal dating from c. AD 1600-1850. What remains is a sub semi circular flat piece of lead, probably originally circular but with an early break across the middle, and the remains of a broken tab at one edge. The seal may have been for wool or other cloth and has the inscription :S[...]//6=
The seal would have been 35.25mm in diameter. The fragment is 35.25mm x 30.38mm including the tab. It is 1.54mm thick. It weighs 12.59g.
