Copper alloy unidentified object fragment. A small abraded fragment from an object with an openwork border. The finder perceives a horse, while, with the eye of a different faith, this reporter discerns a hound and low shrubbery - the one probably as wrong as the other. A straight edge may mark the division between an openwork frame and an enclosed zone, while one side may be textured with the other side plain. This might appear on a buckle frame, a brooch - as suggested by the finder - or in another setting altogether. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1720-1820.
