An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval single single loop D shape buckle, dating to AD 1250 - 1400. The pin is in place. There are moulded knops at the ends of the of the hoop and a very much narrowed and off set strap bar. There is a thickened section at the middle of the strap bar. The hoop has a significantly expanded outer edge (6.07mm thick) and is an oval shape in section. It is 29.82mm in length, 19.00mm in width (strap bar to outer edge of hoop) and weighs 6.22g.
