A fragment of a Roman copper-alloy hook-and-eye clasp bracelet or armlet (AD 43-410).

This fragment is a portion of band which is flat and tapers to part of the hook which is circular in cross-section. The end of the hook is missing. The upper surface has a line of three ring-and-dot motifs. The inside of the band is plain.

The fragment is corroded and has traces of a green patina. The breaks are abraded.

Length: 15.6mm; width: 5.4mm; thickness of band 0.9mm. Weight: 0.60g.
