A complete but damaged post-Medieval lead alloy two-disc cloth seal (c. 1600.c. 1800).

Probably a cloth workers personal seal.

Disc 1: Raised design depicting a standing bird (probably a cockerel) with wings closed facing left and initials: 'F L' at sides. All within a beaded circle.

Disc 2: Plain.

The joining strip is complete but bent.

The seal is buff and very fragile.

Length: 25.0mm; width: 19.0mm; thickness: 4.3mm. Weight: 9.24g.

No parallel found but compare with other cloth seals which depict a cockerel: BH-E9CBD5; CAM-2A7245; ESS-5C1112; NARC-B31093; SF-F6D75C; SUR-6A96A8 and SWYOR-CAA7C1.
