Worn and corroded fragment of medieval gilt copper alloy oval buckle frame, large trapezoidal expansion on the outside edge with slight lobe at both angles, stumps of sides only. The expanded outside edge has traces of engraved decoration. Extant length 20mm. Extant width 28mm. 1.5mm thick. Cf. Whitehead 2003, nos. 111-2; Margeson, S. and Williams, V. in Ayers 1985, fig. 24 no.7. 13th century.
