An incomplete, lead, post medieval, jug or tankard handle, AD.1500-1800. The object comprises a curled tapering piece of lead which is triangular in cross section. The widest end of the piece forms the main attachment for the handle to the vessel. It is triangular and has a large central rivet, that has been distorted. The narrowest end if flat and would likely have been soldered on to the vessel. It has broken away and has coiled up on itself with the narrow end now tucked up behind the wide attachment end. The whole object has a grey-white patina.
