Early Medieval (c.6th-12th century) copper-alloy hooked tag: It has a flat circular plate with two circular sewing holes at the top. Extending from the base of the plate is a fragment of the integral hook now largely corroded. The front face of the plate has two grooves but the overall design is not clear due to corrosion.
It measures 14.4mm long, 9.73mm wide, 0.71mm thick and weighs 0.26g.
This is a hooked tag of Early-Medieval date. It belongs in Read's (2008, pp. 14-17, nos. 54,55,56, 72) Class A Type 2 hooked tags and is of c.6th-12th century AD date.
